mezzaninefloor.ie 's client is a leading warehousing and distribution company in the pharmaceutical sector.
As part of their on-going business expansion, our client contracted mezzaninefloor.ie to design, supply and install a 600 sq. metre mezzanine floor with a 6 metre finished floor level incorporating a galvanised mesh deck. The mezzanine floor was designed to be incorporated with a new highly automated pick and pack operation including a number of vertical carrousel units complete with inclined and horizontal conveyors. The floor loading was designed to accommodate a 6kN UDL loading and also specific point loadings.
The mezzanine was installed, within a tight timeline, in an operational warehouse with existing pick and pack operations. Therefor the installation included a detailed method statement complete with safety plan to eliminate any risk to personnel or property.
